I’m Julia Stuble and I’m running for a second term representing Ward 2 on the Lander City Council.

It has been such an honor being on the Council and serving Lander for the past four years and I’m eager to use that experience to continue listening to the community and crafting solutions for all of us.

    Open Government

As a Councilmember, I have championed public comment periods during our meetings and taking the input we receive seriously. Our government functions best when we reflect the community and incorporate feedback into our policies. I am always available for a phone call or a cup of coffee–I want to hear from you! I know we make our best and most informed decisions after hearing from community members.

  • Improved Infrastructure

Over the last few years, the City has built up a strong strategy for replacing aging and inadequate water and sewer lines and streets. I’ve voted yes on the variety of funding options we’ve put together to finance these important–and expensive–projects. Additionally, I’m excited to support a community vision for expansion of our City parks–more green space will serve us well for years to come. I’ll continue to advocate for all the ways we can build stable and up-to-date infrastructure to support our economic development, community health and safety, and quality of life.

  • Safety

I’m a strong supporter of our police, and have advocated for pay raises to make sure those who keep us safe can afford to live in Lander and have the resources they need to do their jobs well. I know I’m not alone in my gratitude for our first responders and for the sacrifices they make so that we can live safe and happy lives.

    Housing

One of the top challenges for Lander is making sure we have a supply of workforce housing and that we aren’t pricing out families and workers. I’m on board with adjusting the City’s code to make sure our regulations aren’t contributing to this issue and will explore partnerships, advocating for state policy tweaks, and more to make sure Lander stays Lander–an affordable small town where you can live, work, play and raise your family.
